Dear Saint Robert Bellarmine Families,
This Sunday we celebrate the Feast Day of our patron saint, St. Robert Bellarmine. He was a cardinal and theologian from the 16th century. He is famous for his writings and for being a great teacher. Many of his writings are part of the reformation of the Church, and he is considered a doctor of the Church. His ideals were very democratic, which is why Thomas Jefferson was interested in his writings. He was canonized in 1930, just six years before our school was established.
I hope you will all join us at 9:00 a.m. Mass, where we will celebrate St. Robert Bellarmine and our Catechists. Students who wear their uniform to Mass, will be given a free dress pass for Monday. I also encourage you to stop by the Ministry Fair in the School Courtyard from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. You can learn more about the many ministries in our parish. There will be complimentary food and drinks as well. I hope to see you all there.
I also hope to see all of you at our first PTO meeting and Parent Social on Tuesday, September 19 at 6 p.m. It will be a great evening to get to know each other and plan how we can partner to work together this year.
One more event next week is our Dining Together at Wood Ranch. Next Wednesday, September 20th please plan on having lunch and/or dinner at Wood Ranch here in Burbank. I will be there for dinner so I hope to see many families. I encourage you to wear your Spirit Gear to dinner! These nights are meant to be a time where we can come together as a community and enjoy each other’s company while raising money for our school. I hope to see you all there!
