Dear Saint Robert Bellarmine Families,
This week’s Gospel tells us the conversation Jesus had with Nicodemus. He tells him that people avoid the light when they have something to hide. We all know that light helps us to grow and if we bring ourselves into God’s light it will help us to grow spiritually. Talk with your child about how they can be a light to others. Have them think of projects they can help with in the community to bring God’s light to others.
This weekend is a busy one for our SRB families. Saturday, our 2nd graders will be attending their First Communion Retreat. Please keep them in your prayers as they make final preparations to receive the Eucharist in April. Also on Saturday is our Mother/Son Event. Many thanks to Mrs. Kuklish for organizing this great event. On Sunday, our Academic Decathlon team will compete in the Archdiocese wide competition in Long Beach. Under the guidance of Mr. Pavalon, they have been studying very hard for many months. We wish them luck!
Our Read-a-Thon has been a great success. Next week we will give awards out for the top readers. Any student who raised $100 or more will get a chance to spray ME with silly string. Keep reading and raising money! All the money goes to help support our school programs and activities.
Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Basketball teams. They worked hard and had a great season. A special thanks to our Boys’ coach, Mr. Henry Solano and our Girls’ coach, Mr. Jose Hernandez.
