Dear Saint Robert Bellarmine Families,
This Sunday we celebrate Palm Sunday and prepare to enter Holy Week. This is such a special time in our Church and there are many great teaching opportunities as you hand on our faith to your children. I encourage you to attend Mass as a family this weekend and talk about the Passion Gospel that will be read. Then, find a special place at home to place your palms. Talk with your child about the significance of this week.
Tonight is the parish Communal Penance Service at 7 p.m. I encourage you to take this opportunity for reconciliation before we enter into Holy Week and the Easter Season. Parents and students who have received the sacrament already are all welcome.
Our 8th graders recently received their acceptance letters from the high schools they applied to. Congratulations to all of them. Many were accepted with honors at entrance and some were offered scholarships. Although they were accepted into schools such as Alemany and Immaculate Heart; this year our students are choosing to attend Providence, Notre Dame, Burbank High, and Eagle Rock High School.
At the end of the day tomorrow we will have our used uniform sale and Menchies. Unfortu- nately we will not have the pizza and bake sale. Please stop by to get some “new to you” uniforms.
