Dear Saint Robert Bellarmine Families,
In this week’s Gospel, Jesus says, “I am the Good Shepherd.” This is a great example of how we can be leaders but still show compassion, care, and concern. In today’s society we sometimes see these attributes as signs of weakness. However, we must remember that Jesus showed us that like a shepherd we must tend and care for our sheep without thinking about the wool they will produce for us. This is also a great reminder on Earth Day this year. We must also care for our Earth and all God’s creation. Talk to your child about how they can show extra care and concern for others this week.
Please keep our Second Grade class in your prayers this weekend as they have their First Holy Communion. This is a special time in their lives as they join us completely at the table of the Lord.
I am very excited to announce our First Annual Family BBQ & Fundraiser on May 19th. Please see the flyer in your folders today. This is meant to be a fun family event. I hope you all can join us for a fun afternoon. We are also looking for any participants in the BBQ Cook Off. If you are interested please contact the office and we will get you the details. I think this event is going to be lots of fun. If you are looking for service hours we will also need help for the event.
