Dear Saint Robert Bellarmine Families,
In this week’s Gospel, Jesus says, “I am the vine, you are the branches.” This passage reminds us that we are connected to God at all times. Springtime is a great time to think about this passage and what it means to us. God removes the branches that do not bear fruit and prunes the others to bear more fruit. We can do some pruning in our own lives but we must remember that we are not alone and God is there to help us to make changes in our lives.
Please look in your folders today for your raffle ticket booklets. Each family is required to sell one booklet totaling $50. Join us on Saturday, May 19th for the drawing of the $1,000 winner as well as some other prizes. We are only selling a limited number of tickets so the odds of winning are higher than in years past.
If you are looking for service hours, please consider joining our BBQ Cook-off committee in working the event. We need volunteers to donate items, set-up, clean-up, and work booths. Please look for a sign up genius in the coming week.
Tomorrow we will give our SLE awards for students who have demonstrated being Responsible Citizens. Join us after Mass to hear about these students and how they have emulated this virtue that was very important to St. Robert Bellarmine. Congratulations to our winners this month!
All mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and godmothers are invited to our May Crowning on May 11th for a special blessing at Mass. Students are asked to bring a flower on May 11th to offer to our Blessed Mother during Mass.
