The elementary school program at St. Robert Bellarmine School is for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Students receive mastery-based instruction that provides a strong academic foundation in all subjects that is later enhanced in the middle school program. Students in kindergarten through second grade have a heavy focus on solidifying reading and math skills. In third through fourth grade, students are reading to learn and formalizing the skills they learned in previous year. Reading skills are utilized throughout Social Studies and Science instruction and students are given the opportunity to discover the world around them through hands on learning experiences. In addition to the academic aspect of our elementary program, students are given leadership opportunities and positive classroom structures to build strong study habits. This helps our students to nurture and develop a strong self-image that will serve them well throughout their lives.
